Who we are

THERAPIST

My name is Gwen, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A) and Art Therapist-Provisional (ATR-P). My experience spans working with individuals, families, and couples, and a focus of my practice has been on Pet Loss and Grief.

I have also worked with Equine-Assisted Therapy, practicing art therapy with clients out in a pasture filled with horses. Equine-Assisted Therapy is working in pairs (with a Equine Specialist and a Mental Health therapist) with a horse or donkey as a therapy co-facilitator witnessing the client’s experience of sharing the emotional and physical space with an equine. It can be a very powerful. If you like more information on this type of therapy experience, you can click here.

Currently I am based in downtown Tacoma and also available via Telehealth for those in Washington State, I am deeply interested in helping those use art to express their experiences based on their own strengths and interests.

My supervisor for clinical work is Jill Forsberg, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor #LF60124554

My supervisor for Art Therapy is Darcy Marlow, a Registered Art Therapy Supervisor, license number #1841618360.
