In the past, I have had a unique hands-on experience approaches art therapy with our clients out in a pasture filled with horses. Equine-Assisted Therapy is working in pairs—with an Equine Specialist & a Mental Health therapist—along with a horse or donkey as a therapy co-facilitator.
Witnessing the client’s experience of sharing the emotional and physical space with an equine can be a very powerful moment of personal exploration.
